Newsletter #16 – 2026-08-20 ABDL in the summer press, upcoming projects, and inflatable briefs
ABDL in the press this summer
This summer, we had a few mentions of ABDL (or at least diapers) in the mainstream press (for better and for… less good).
First, 20 Minutes published an article directly dedicated to ABDL, featuring the testimony of Mathieu, 25, who wears diapers several times a week. The article discusses his relationship with diapers, the comforting aspect he finds in them, but also the difficulty of talking about it with those around him and the fear of being judged.
It's quite refreshing to see ABDL presented from this perspective: not as something inherently sexual, and certainly not as something related to children. The article also points out that Diaper Lovers can enjoy diapers for a variety of reasons, sexual or otherwise. In short, for once, we get a personal account rather than yet another sensationalist piece.

Then, in less positive news related to diapers, there was this article about someone dumping their used diapers on the side of the road. I don't know if this is still happening, but frankly, it's not great. Especially since the photo used in the article clearly shows an ABDL diaper (I'd say a Rearz Daydreamer). Obviously, it's impossible to know who abandoned them or why. But it really doesn't paint a great picture of the community.

And finally, a quick detour into the medical world. TikTok, having picked up on my interest in diapers, regularly recommends videos of caregivers talking about their daily lives or reports about nursing homes. And naturally, after seeing so many diaper videos in my feed, I stumbled upon a technique that made me smile.
Because let's be honest: Who in the ABDL community has never had the idea of putting one layer on top of another? There were even, at one time, some blogs and forums that explained how to modify the first layer (in particular by making holes in certain places) to allow the liquid to pass through and take advantage of the absorption capacity of the second.
Well, you should know that We obviously haven't invented anything.. This famous double-layer technique also exists in some nursing homes. But here, the main objective is to allow caregivers to save time and avoid having to completely change the person every time there's an accident, in a context of staff shortages. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the original report, but I've found the TikTok clip for you:
Upcoming projects
We just got back from KDC, and frankly, it was a lot of fun! Not necessarily very relaxing (between the organization, the unexpected events, the logistics and being on all fronts), but it was definitely worth it.
We received so many thank yous, kind words, words of encouragement, and positive feedback throughout the event. As a result, we were exhausted at the end, but our hearts were full! And that's probably the best summary we could give of KDC.
Otherwise, in addition to a Q&A video at the beach (weather permitting), I'm preparing an article about diapers at festivals. I initially planned to just write a newsletter post, but given the sheer volume of online content discussing this phenomenon (well, not that much, but I've seen various pieces here and there), I'd like to write it out properly. It's coming along nicely.
The heartthrob <3
After spending your summer salary on transportation and going out, you can put yourself even further into debt by buying inflatable underwear. I also get the impression that the market is growing rapidly because I've seen several models popping up on different websites.
I wonder what happens if you swim with it (not sure it's really designed for that)... Does it explode? Does it float well? Will it crumble in the ocean? Same question if you spank it... So many questions...
